Transactions: White Recalled by Flyers, Lamarche Reassigned to Reading

Phantoms Coming Off Weekend Sweep of Norfolk

January 5, 2015

Lehigh Valley, PA – The Philadelphia Flyers, parent club of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, have recalled forward Ryan White from his conditioning loan to the Phantoms and have reassigned defenseman Maxim Lamarche from Lehigh Valley to the Reading Royals of the ECHL.

A 26-year-old pivot from Brandon, Manitoba, White tallied four penalty minutes and a minus-one rating in three outings with the Phantoms this past week. A third-round selection (66th overall) by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, he was loaned by the Flyers to the Phantoms on December 28th after working his way back from an offseason injury. A 6’0″, 200-pound forward, White spent last season with the Canadiens where he recorded two goals, four assists, six points and 50 penalty minutes in 52 games.

A 22-year-old blueliner from Laval, Quebec, Lamarche was reassigned to Lehigh Valley on January 1st but didn’t appear in either of the team’s two games this past weekend in Norfolk. A 6’3″, 218-pound defender, he’s produced one goal and seven points in 25 games with the Royals this season and one assist in three games over two stints with the Phantoms. Lamarche split time last season between the Phantoms (12 games, 0 goals, 1 assist) and the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL (50 games, 3 goals, 5 assists).

Following a weekend sweep of the Admirals, Lehigh Valley returns to action next weekend when the Phantoms head up to St. John’s for Saturday and Sunday showdowns with the IceCaps.
