Transaction: Ryan White Loaned to Phantoms

Lehigh Valley Set For Weekend Series at St. John’s

January 6, 2015

Lehigh Valley, PA – The Philadelphia Flyers, parent club of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, have loaned forward Ryan White to the Phantoms. A 26-year-old pivot from Brandon, Manitoba, White tallied four penalty minutes in three outings as part of a conditioning loan with Lehigh Valley last week.

A third-round selection (66th overall) by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, he was first loaned by the Flyers to the Phantoms on December 28th after working his way back from an offseason injury. A 6’0″, 200-pound forward, White spent last season with the Canadiens where he recorded two goals, four assists, six points and 50 penalty minutes in 52 games.

In the midst of his seventh professional season, White has compiled five goals, 12 assists and 17 points to go along with 232 penalty minutes in 141 career NHL games. Meanwhile, he’s produced 35 goals, 45 assists, 80 points and 348 penalty minutes in 173 career AHL outings to date.

Following a weekend sweep of the Norfolk Admirals, Lehigh Valley returns to action this weekend when the Phantoms head up to St. John’s for Saturday and Sunday showdowns with the IceCaps.
