Lehigh Valley, PA – The Lehigh Valley Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, have recalled goaltender Martin Ouellette from his loan to the Reading Royals of the ECHL. A 22-year-old netminder from Saint-Hippolyte, Quebec, Ouellette is in the midst of his first professional season and has produced a 9-4-2 record to go along with a 2.73 goals-against average and .914 save percentage through 15 games with Reading.

JustSports PhotographyThis will be Ouellette’s second stint with the Phantoms this year after he was recalled on November 27. The 6’2″, 194-pound netminder has appeared in one game for Lehigh Valley this season in which he registered 11 saves on 12 shots in 40 minutes of action as part of a 4-2 setback against the Albany Devils on November 28.

Following a 2-0 shutout of the Hershey Bears at PPL Center last night, the Phantoms return to action this evening as Lehigh Valley heads to Hartford for a 5:00 PM clash with the Wolf Pack. Catch all of tonight’s action on Fox 1470 AM, fox1470.com or the iHeartRadio app. Coverage starts with the Nazareth Pallett Countdown to Faceoff at 4:15 PM.

A seventh-round selection (184th overall) by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Ouellette spent the last four years at the University of Maine where the 6’2″, 194-pound goaltender compiled a 28-33-14 overall record to go along with a 2.52 goals-against average coupled with a .913 save percentage.
