Transaction: D Mark Alt Recalled by Flyers

Phantoms Return to PPL Center This Friday, Sunday

Lehigh Valley, PA – The Philadelphia Flyers, parent club of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, have recalled defenseman Mark Alt from the Phantoms.

A 26-year-old blueliner from St. Paul, Minnesota, Alt is in the midst of his fifth professional season and has tallied two goals, four assists and six points in 10 games with Lehigh Valley this year. A veteran of 247 career AHL outings (all with the Phantoms), he’s compiled 14 goals, 60 assists, 74 total points and 111 penalty minutes. Alt currently ranks 11th on the Phantoms’ franchise all-time list with 247 games played.

A second-round selection (#53 overall) by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, he made his NHL debut with the Flyers on March 28, 2015 as part of a 3-2 shootout setback to the San Jose Sharks.

The Phantoms are back in action for a pair of games at PPL Center this weekend. First, on Friday, November 3, the rival Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins invade downtown Allentown for a 7:05 p.m. clash. Then, on Sunday, November 5, it’s Pink in the Rink presented by the American Cancer Society when the Toronto Marlies visit PPL Center in a 5:05 p.m. clash.
