Phantoms Set For Rivalry Showdown in Hershey on Saturday

Lehigh Valley, PA – The Lehigh Valley Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, have recalled from loan defenseman Adam Comrie from the Reading Royals of the ECHL.

JustSports PhotographyA 25-year-old blueliner from Ottawa, Ontario, Comrie has produced 15 goals, 19 assists and 34 points across 39 games with the Royals this season. At the time of his recall, the 6’4″, 219-pound defender led all ECHL defenders in goals (15), points (34) and shots (116).

In the midst of his sixth professional campaign, Comrie split time last season between Lehigh Valley (40 games, 5 goals, 13 assists) and Reading (21 games, 7 goals, 7 assists). In 164 career AHL games, he’s amassed 11 goals, 46 assists and 57 points during time with the Phantoms, Rochester Americans and Worcester Sharks.

The Phantoms return to action this Saturday, January 23 when they invade Giant Center in Hershey for a rivalry showdown with the Bears. In the midst of their 20th season of operation, the Phantoms are coming off their Inaugural Season as the Lehigh Valley Phantoms playing at the brand-new PPL Center. Established in 1996, the Phantoms spent their first 13 seasons at the Spectrum in Philadelphia before re-locating to Glens Falls, New York in 2009 where the team spent the next five seasons as the Adirondack Phantoms. A new era of Phantoms hockey began in the fall of 2014 when the Lehigh Valley Phantoms began play at the state-of-the-art PPL Center. Through 19 incredibly successful campaigns, the Phantoms have captured two Calder Cup Championships (1998, 2005), two Conference Championships (1998, 2005), two Regular Season Titles (1996-97, 1997-98) and four Division Championships (1996-97, 1997-98, 1998-99, 2003-04).
