Phantoms Set to Face Both Pennsylvania Rivals This Week

Lehigh Valley, PA – The Lehigh Valley Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, have recalled from loan forward Chris McCarthy from the Reading Royals of the ECHL.
A 26-year-old winger from Collegeville, Pennsylvania, McCarthy is in the midst of his fourth professional season and currently ranks third among all Reading skaters in total scoring with 25 points (13 goals, 12 assists). He appeared in 17 games with the Phantoms last season (one goal, two assists) and has compiled nine goals, 18 assists and 27 total points across 84 career AHL outings during time with Lehigh Valley and the Hartford Wolf Pack.
The Phantoms are back in action this Wednesday, January 17 when the team visits Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for a 7:05 p.m. clash with the rival Penguins.
