Phantoms Return to PPL Tonight with Post-Game Autograph Session

Lehigh Valley, PA – The Philadelphia Flyers, parent club of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, have reassigned forward Brandon Alderson from the Reading Royals of the ECHL to the Phantoms. Meanwhile, forward Cam Reid has been signed to a PTO (professional try-out).

JustSports PhotographyA 23-year-old winger from Oakville, Ontario, Alderson is in the midst of his third professional campaign and has amassed four penalty minutes in 10 games with the Phantoms this season. Meanwhile, in three games with the Royals, the 6’4″, 202-pound forward has registered a goal and two assists. In 125 career AHL games, Alderson has amassed 17 goals, 13 assists, 30 points and 105 penalty minutes.

A 24-year-old forward from Delta, British Columbia, Reid is currently in his fourth pro season and has recorded 14 points (3 goals, 11 assists) through his first 14 games with Reading this season. He appeared in 14 AHL games last year between the Adirondack Flames (12 games, 2 assists) and Bridgeport Sound Tigers (2 games, 1 goal) and still managed to finish fourth among all Royals in scoring a year ago with 59 points (25 goals, 34 assists) in 59 games. He boasts 82 career AHL games on his professional resume during which he’s compiled 6 goals, 20 assists, 26 points and 35 penalty minutes in time with the Peoria Rivermen, Milwaukee Admirals, Lake Erie Monsters, Adirondack and Bridgeport.

The Phantoms return to PPL Center tonight as they welcome the Providence Bruins to town for a 7:05 p.m. showdown. In the midst of their 20th season of operation, the Phantoms are coming off their Inaugural Season as the Lehigh Valley Phantoms playing at the brand-new PPL Center. Established in 1996, the Phantoms spent their first 13 seasons at the Spectrum in Philadelphia before re-locating to Glens Falls, New York in 2009 where the team spent the next five seasons as the Adirondack Phantoms. A new era of Phantoms hockey began in the fall of 2014 when the Lehigh Valley Phantoms began play at the state-of-the-art PPL Center. Through 19 incredibly successful campaigns, the Phantoms have captured two Calder Cup Championships (1998, 2005), two Conference Championships (1998, 2005), two Regular Season Titles (1996-97, 1997-98) and four Division Championships (1996-97, 1997-98, 1998-99, 2003-04).
