Phantoms to Host Public Skating Session at PPL Center

The Lehigh Valley Phantoms will host a free public skating session, that is open to everyone, on Monday, July 1, inside of PPL Center from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

All skaters are encouraged to bring their own skates to this event as a limited number of loaner skates, thanks to the Rink at Lehigh Valley, will be available for use during the event.  Attendees will need to use the Air Products Gate, at the corner of 7th and Linden Street, to gain entrance into PPL Center and sign a waiver before being allowed on the ice.

“It’s a rare thing for us to have ice in July,” Phantoms Executive Vice President Chris Porreca said.  “Thanks to the Crystal by Cirque du Soleil performances at the end of June, we have this chance to offer another fun event to not only our season ticket holders and fans, but everyone in the Lehigh Valley.  Plus, with the recent heatwave, what better way to cool down than by hitting the ice.”

Phantoms season ticket holders will be treated to an exclusive skate beginning at 5 p.m. that will include locker room tours, an opportunity to meet and chat with their ticket representative and more!  Season ticket holders are also welcome to stay for the entire event, meaning they can skate from 5 to 8 p.m.
