Hockey is For Everyone
On Saturday, February 11th, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms will celebrate Hockey is For Everyone night at PPL Center by welcoming several organizations and groups to facilitate inclusion and acceptance in the sport of hockey.
The Hockey is For Everyone initiative is celebrated across the NHL, AHL, and ECHL to serve as an all-encompassing celebration of the sport of hockey and show that everyone is welcome in all levels of hockey to enjoy as a fan or participate as a player, press, or official within the sport.
This celebration serves as a way to make hockey a more inclusive and safe environment for all, including girls and women, LGBTQIA2S+, differently abled, and communities of color. The AHL joined the initiative in 2020 in collaboration with the NHL to use hockey’s large audience to open the sport of hockey to anyone who may be interested, regardless of race, religion, national origin, age, gender identity or expression, disability, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status.
The Phantoms are excited to welcome fans to Hockey is For Everyone night to celebrate diversity within our communities and the sport that we love.
