Phantoms Kick Off 2017-18 Regular Season Saturday at PPL Center

Lehigh Valley, PA – The Philadelphia Flyers, parent club of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, have loaned forward Matt Read to the Phantoms.

A 31-year-old forward from Ilderton, Ontario, Read is entering his seventh professional season and is coming off the fifth double-digit goal campaign of his pro career. The 5’10”, 185-pound forward tallied 10 goals and 19 points in 63 games with the Flyers last season and has recorded 86 goals, 100 assists and 186 total points in 418 career NHL games (all with Philadelphia).

The Phantoms are back in action next Saturday, October 7 when they open the 2017-2018 regular season with a 7:05 p.m. clash at PPL Center against the rival Hershey Bears. Opening Night features a Rally Towel Giveaway FREE to the first 6,500 fans in attendance.
