Flyers Assign 3 Players to Lehigh Valley, Place 4 on Waivers

Philadelphia, Pa. — The Philadelphia Flyers, parent club of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, announced today that they have trimmed their training camp roster by assigning multiple players to the Phantoms. The Flyers have one preseason game remaining on Thursday against the New York Rangers.
Forwards German Rubtsov and Mikhail Vorobyev and defenseman Mark Friedman have all been assigned to the Phantoms.
Additionally, forwards Andy Andreoff, Nicolas Aube-Kubel, and Kurtis Gabriel and defenseman Chris Bigras have all been placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment to the Phantoms.
The Flyers roster now stands at 27 players as the club heads into its final three preseason contests before heading to Europe.

Players will be added to the training camp roster as the Flyers reassign individuals to the AHL*
Lehigh Valley opened its training camp, presented by Provident Bank, on Monday, September 23, ahead of the club’s three preseason contests. The Phantoms will faceoff against the rival Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on September 25 at 7:05 p.m. inside Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza and then return home to PPL Center for the second half of the home-and-home series on September 29 at 3:05 p.m. The Phantoms final preseason tuneup will also take place at PPL Center on September 30 at 7:05 p.m. when the team takes on the Hershey Bears. The Phantoms sixth campaign in the Lehigh Valley begins on October 5 at PPL Center against the Providence Bruins.
