Help keep everyone warm this winter by donating a new or gently-used winter coat at the 5th annual WFMZ Coat Drive, taking place at PPL Center in downtown Allentown on Friday, November 9, prior to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms game against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 7:05 p.m.
Drop boxes will be set up from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the WFMZ Gate at 7th and Hamilton Street and, later in the day, WFMZ will have staff collecting coats and a drop-off lane on Hamilton Street from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. before the game. Coats will then be dry cleaned by JC Cleaners and donated to the The Salvation Army Children’s Services: Foster Care & Adoption Program and other Salvation Army programs.
Also, new this year, if you donate a coat at the PPL Center box office, you will receive a BOGO (Buy One Get One Free) ticket offer for the game. The offer is valid at the QNB Bank Box Office during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Last year, we collected more than 1,200 coats! Help the Phantoms and 69 WFMZ-TV beat that number and help keep the Lehigh Valley warm!
