Lehigh Valley Adds Hora, Muse From Reading

First-Place Phantoms Face Four Road Games This Week

Lehigh Valley, Pa. – The Lehigh Valley Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, have recalled from loan defenseman Frank Hora from the Reading Royals of the ECHL. In addition, the Flyers have reassigned goaltender John Muse from Reading to Lehigh Valley.

A 21-year-old blueliner from Cheektowaga, New York, Hora is currently in his first professional season and has spent the majority of this year with the Royals where he’s compiled one goal, 13 assists and 14 total points in 62 games with Reading. The 6’2″, 207-pound defender has appeared in six prior AHL contests, including three games with Lehigh Valley earlier this season.

A 29-year-old netminder from East Falmouth, Massachusetts, Muse is in his seventh professional campaign and has produced an impressive 10-1-1 record in 13 appearances with the Phantoms this year go go along with one shutout, a 2.13 goals-against average and 0.931 save percentage. Meanwhile, in 26 games with Reading this season, he’s compiled a 19-5-2 overall mark along with three shutouts, a 2.24 goals-against average and 0.931 save percentage.

Bound for the 2018 Calder Cup Playoffs, the Phantoms kick off a four-game road trip this week with a two-game series at the Charlotte Checkers on Tuesday, April 3 and Wednesday, April 4. Lehigh Valley then caps its busy week with road tilts at the Hartford Wolf Pack on Saturday, April 7 and Providence Bruins on Sunday, April 8.
