Forward Taylor Leier Recalled by Flyers

Phantoms Hit the Road for 3 Games This Weekend

Lehigh Valley, PA – The Philadelphia Flyers, parent club of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, have recalled from loan forward Taylor Leier. He will be available for Philadelphia’s game tonight against the Buffalo Sabres, wearing #58.

JustSports PhotographyA 22-year-old forward from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Leier has recorded one assist in three games with the Phantoms this season after finishing second among all Lehigh Valley skaters in goals (20) and points (49) last year. Across 147 career games with the Phantoms, he’s compiled 33 goals, 48 assists and 81 total points.

A fourth-round selection (#117 overall) by the Flyers in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, Leier was recalled by Philadelphia last November 14 and made his NHL debut that night at the Carolina Hurricanes. He played a total of six games for the Flyers, averaging 7:43 of ice time, before returning to Lehigh Valley.

The Phantoms are back in action this Friday, October 28 when they travel to Hartford for a 7:15 p.m. showdown with the Wolf Pack in Lehigh Valley’s first road game of the 2016-17 season.

The Phantoms are coming off their 20th Anniversary Season and second campaign in the Lehigh Valley playing at the state-of-the-art PPL Center.
