Transactions: Ginning and Lycksell Recalled to Flyers

Brady and Millman Join from Reading Royals

Allentown, PA – The Philadelphia Flyers have recalled defenseman Adam Ginning and forward Olle Lycksell from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms according to General Manager Daniel Briere.

Additionally, defenseman Mason Millman has been reassigned by the Philadelphia Flyers to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms from the Reading Royals of the ECHL and defenseman Darren Brady has been recalled by the Phantoms from Reading.

Ginning, 24, has played in one game with Philadelphia this season and two career games with the Flyers.. The 6-4 defenseman has played in 56 games with the Phantoms this year scoring two goals with 11 assists for 13 points and also 124 career games with Lehigh Valley scoring 5-27-32. The 6-3 left-shot blueliner was a Round 2 selection of the Flyers in 2018 out of Linkoping, SWE.

Lycksell, 24, leads the Phantoms with 19 goals and has scored 19-19-38 in 36 games with Lehigh Valley this season. The 5-10 left wing tied a Phantoms franchise record with four assists in a game on Saturday at the Providence Bruins as part of a giant weekend with six points on one goal and five assists. Lycksell has played in 89 career games with the Phantoms over the last two seasons scoring 33-50-83. The Flyers’ Round 6 selection in 2017 has skated in nine games with the Flyers this year scoring 0-3-3 and 17 career games with Philadelphia scoring 0-4-4.

Millman, 22, is a left-shot defenseman from London, ONT who was a Round 4 choice of the Flyers in 2019. He has played in 12 games with the Phantoms this season scoring 0-4-4 and also 39 games with Reading scoring 7-18-25.

Millman’s career has included 38 games with Lehigh Valley over parts of four seasons scoring 0-8-8 and also 168 games for Reading where he has scored 23-72-95. He recently became the all-time leading defenseman scorer in Reading Royals history passing Nick Luukko.

Brady, 27, is a right-shot defenseman from Lake Orion, MI who has played in two games with the Phantoms in November recording one assist. He has also skated in 39 games with Reading where he has scored 3-14-17.

Brady has played in 54 career AHL games, including 50 with the San Joe Barracuda last year, scoring 3-7-10. The 6-0 product of R.I.T. (Rochester Institute of Technology) has also played in 134 career games in the ECHL with Reading, Idaho and Rapid City scoring 10-44-54.

 

The Lehigh Valley Phantoms open a three-game homestand this Wednesday night when the Springfield Thunderbirds arrive to PPL Center. The Phantoms hold a one-point lead on Springfield for the last playoff spot in the Atlantic Division with just 14 games remaining in the regular season.
