Lehigh Valley, PA – Rookie winger Tyson Foerster has been named the PSECU Player of the Week for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Foerster, 19, scored four goals with two assists and contributed two shootout goals as well on nifty backhand moves.
On Wednesday, March 31, his four-point effort led the Phantoms to a 4-1 win over the Hershey Bears when he racked up two goals in the first period as well as two assists. He became the tenth player in Lehigh Valley history to have four points in a game and is only the second rookie to do it as well as the first rookie to do it at PPL Center.
The 2020 first-rounder followed that up with another two-goal performance on Saturday against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton including a 6-on-5 tying goal with 49 seconds left and a winning goal in the shootout.
Foerster has six goals and five assists for 11 points this season.
