Playoff-Bound Phantoms Return to PPL Center This Friday, Saturday

Lehigh Valley, Pa. – The Lehigh Valley Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, are pleased to announce they have signed defenseman David Drake to an ATO (amateur try-out).
A 23-year-old blueliner from Naperville, Illinois, Drake recently completed a four-year career at the University of Connecticut where he compiled four goals, 21 assists, 25 points and 62 penalty minutes across 124 total games with the Huskies. During his senior season, he produced career highs in games (36), assists (8) and points (8) in helping guide Connecticut to a 11-12-1 record this year.
Drake was a seventh-round selection (#192 overall) by Philadelphia in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Bound for the 2018 Calder Cup Playoffs, the Phantoms return to action with a pair of games at PPL Center this weekend. First, on Friday, March 30, it’s a clash between the top two teams in the Atlantic Division when first-place Lehigh Valley hosts the Providence Bruins in downtown Allentown. Then, on Saturday, March 31, the Phantoms welcome the Belleville Senators to PPL Center for the first only time this season. Saturday’s game is Fan Appreciation Night and features a T-Shirt Giveaway to the first 6,500 fans in attendance. A limited number of tickets remain for both games and are available HERE.
