TONIGHT – It’s a battle of two teams going in opposite directions as the streaking Lehigh Valley Phantoms (4-3-3) look to continue a five-game point streak as they host the winless Utica Comets (0-8-2), AHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils.
The Phantoms have won three of their last four and also have points in five straight (3-0-2) while the Comets are the only AHL squad who have yet to find the W column this season.

LAST TIME – Alexis Gendron (2nd, 3rd) and Oscar Eklind (3rd, 4th) each recorded multi-goal games as the Phantoms overcame an early 2-0 deficit to power past the visiting Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins 5-3 on Friday night at PPL Center. It was Lehigh Valley’s first win in four tries against the Baby Pens.
Eetu Makiniemi (2-0-1) was especially strong with a 33 save performance while the Phantoms burned NHL goaltender Tristan Jarry for four goals on only 19 shots against the veteran. Louie Belpedio scored his first of the year and Rhett Gardner contributed a pair of assists on the two Gendron goals. Lehigh Valley went 2-for-5 on the power play and picked up the W despite a season-low 20 shots on goal in the game.
