Lehigh Valley, Pa. — The Philadelphia Flyers, parent club of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, have announced today that they have returned on loan goaltender Alex Lyon to Lehigh Valley.  In a separate transaction, the Phantoms have recalled forward Alex Krushelnyski from the Reading Royals of the ECHL and have released goaltender Austin Lotz from his PTO and returned him to the Reading Royals.

A 25-year old out of Baudette, Minnesota, Lyon is currently in the midst of his third professional season.  The 6’1″ netminder has started four contests for Lehigh Valley this season and currently holds a 2-2-0 record with a 3.54 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage. Over three seasons with the Phantoms, he has an overall record of 45-24-11 to go along with a 2.78 GAA and .912 save percentage.

Lyon has been recalled by the Flyers twice this season and, most recently, made his 2018-19 NHL season debut against the Buffalo Sabres on November 21.  All told, Lyon has appeared in 12 contests with the Flyers — eight starts — and holds a 4-3-1 record with a 3.12 GAA and .893 save percentage.

A 27-year old out of Los Angeles, California, Krushelnyski appeared in 37 games with the Phantoms this past season and tallied three goals and six assists for a total of nine points with a plus-five rating.  Additionally, he played in 24 contests with the Reading Royals during the 2017-18 campaign in which he potted 13 goals and recorded 14 assists en route to being named an ECHL All-Star.

Krushelnyski currently has five goals and 10 assists for a total of 15 points in 17 games this season with the Royals.

Lotz, who was signed to a PTO on November 23 prior to the Phantoms game against the Hershey Bears, will return to Reading.  The 23-year old out of St. Adolphe, Manitoba, is currently in his third professional campaign where he has appeared in two games for the Reading Royals.

The Phantoms will take to the road north of the border this weekend when they play three games in three days.  Friday the team will face off against the Laval Rocket, followed by a Saturday contest against the Belleville Senators and a Sunday matinee against the Toronto Marlies.

Season tickets offering a wide range of benefits as well as 20-Game and 12-Game plans are available by calling the Phantoms at 610-224-GOAL (4625).
