Phantoms Return to PPL Center Tomorrow vs. Hershey!

Lehigh Valley, PA – The Philadelphia Flyers, parent club of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, have announced that center Scott Laughton has been recalled by the Flyers while center Blair Jones has been loaned to the Phantoms. A 20-year-old pivot from Oakville, Ontario, Laughton registered six goals and 11 points in 13 games with Lehigh Valley this season. Meanwhile, Jones, a 28-year-old forward from Central Butte, Saskatchewan, appeared in four games and produced two penalty minutes this year with Philadelphia.
The Phantoms return to action tomorrow when Lehigh Valley welcomes the rival Hershey Bears to PPL Center for a 7:05 PM showdown. A first-round selection (20th overall) by the Flyers in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, Laughton spent each of the last four seasons with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) where he amassed 96 goals and 219 points in 230 games. He made his NHL debut on January 19, 2013 in a 3-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins and suited up for five games in total with the Flyers at the start of the lockout-shortened 2012-13 campaign.
Meanwhile, Jones split time last season between the Calgary Flames and Abbottsford Heat. In 14 games with the Flames, Jones managed two goals while in 38 outings with the Heat he produced 17 goals and 38 total points. A fourth-round selection (102nd overall) by the Tampa Bay Lighting in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Jones has recorded seven goals and 17 points to go along with 65 penalty minutes in 132 career NHL contests between Calgary and Tampa Bay. Meanwhile, in 383 career AHL outings with the Springfield Falcons, Norfolk Admirals and Abbottsford, the 6’3″, 215-pound has amassed 94 goals and 251 points to go along with 335 penalty minutes.
