Read Books! Earn Phantoms Tickets!
The ORANGE TICKET CHALLENGE is a Phantoms Charities initiative that encourages local elementary children to read and reach, and even exceed, reading goals set by his or her teacher/educator. This opportunity is for elementary classroom students attending a school district in the Lehigh Valley or surrounding areas in grades K-6 during the 2018-2019 school year. The challenge kicks off in January 2019 and closes once all of the prizes are claimed!
Read Books: Just like you exercise your body, it is important to exercise your brain. It is recommended that you read for 20 minutes a day (whether you are reading alone, reading to someone else, or being read to).
Earn Phantoms Tickets: The Orange Ticket Challenge is fun, easy, and FREE! Students are entered to win two tickets to attend a Lehigh Valley Phantoms home game on either Friday, March 8 or Saturday, March 23 for reaching or exceeding their reading goals set by their teacher/educator.
Appreciate Bonding: Read with your class or family! Reading together is great way to create lasting memories while building social-emotional, concentration, and listening skills.
Do Well in School: The more you read, the better your foundational reading skills become. Your math skills can even improve, too! Your brain, and your teacher, will thank you later.
To Enter: Students must be nominated by an educator. Nominating school staff have completed the first portion of the nomination. A bit more of information is needed from you, along with your seal of approval, before this nomination can be submitted. Only completed nominations will be accepted. Complete nomination form must be received by Phantoms Charities no later than Friday, February 8, 2019. Mail completed form to:
