B-Sens Hold Off Phantoms
Gaucher Scores for 100th Point in 3-1 Decision
November 6, 2026
Belleville, ON – Jacob Gaucher (5th) reached 100 career points with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms while moving into sole possession of seventh place on the team’s all-time goals list, but the Phantoms fell 3-1 to the Belleville Senators on Friday night at CIBC Place despite equaling a season-high with 35 shots on goal. But Belleville’s Jackson Parsons was up to the task in a sensational performance including five denials of Alex Bump among his 34 total saves.
Gaucher scored even the score at 3-1 just 18 seconds into the third period, recording the 100th point of his Lehigh Valley career. The 25-year-old also notched his 53rd goal with the Phantoms, moving past Olle Lycksell (52) for seventh all-time in Lehigh Valley history. Carl Grundström and Danila Klimovich assisted on the milestone tally. The magical moment came in Gaucher’s first game as a new Daddy following the birth of his son earlier in the week!
Bump’s goal streak came to an end at six games. It was the first game with Lehigh Valley this season in which Bump did not score a goal. He tied the longest goal streak in Lehigh Valley history also achieved by Petr Straka in 2015 and Danick Martel in 2017.

Belleville opened the scoring at 4:45 of the first period when Djibril Touré (2nd) capitlized on a rebound on a play set up by Xavier Bourgault and Tyler Boucher. Kolosov made a dazzling save on Boucher’s partial breakaway but also had the paddle knocked out of his hands allowing the big d-man, Torre, to rifle through the game’s opening tally from the high slot. Lehigh Valley generated 12 shots in the opening frame but could not find the equalizer, trailing 1-0 after 20 minutes.
The teams previously met on October 25 at PPL Center, when the Phantoms earned a 2-0 victory behind a 16-save shutout from Aleksei Kolosov. Friday’s rematch remained a one-goal game until Gaucher provided the equalizer early in the third.
Lehigh Valley (5-6-1) evened the count early in the third with the team’s fastest goal to open a period. Just 18 seconds into the final period, Gaucher buried his fifth of the season to tie the game at 1-1 on a strong setup by Carl Grundstrom. His 10 points (5-5-10) leads the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and his 53 career goals is tops among active Lehigh Valley players.
Belleville pushed back in front at 8:33 of the third when Bourgault (4th) restored the Senators’ lead, finishing a play assisted by Oskar Pettersson and Philippe Daoust.
Just 53 seconds later, Lucas Ellinas (1st) picked off a puck at center and added an unassisted tally to make it 3-1 successfully converting on his odd-man rush. The Phantoms contended that Aston-Reese’s stick was shattered in the neutral zone on what they felt should have been a slashing call. But the goal stood as the B-Sens took control with their rapid-fire tallies just 53 seconds apart.
Aleksei Kolosov finished with 28 saves on 31 shots as Lehigh Valley continued to push for a late response. The Phantoms finished with a 35-31 advantage in shots, but were unable to break through again against Belleville goaltender Jackson Parsons, who stopped 34 of 35 attempts.
Lehigh Valley went 0-for-2 on the power play, while Belleville did not receive a power-play opportunity. The two teams traded home victories as they ended up splitting the season series. Aleksei Kolosov and the Phantoms had previously prevailed over Belleville in a 2-0 shutout win on October 25 at PPL Center.
The Phantoms conclude their three-game Canadian road swing on Saturday, November 7, against the Hamilton Hammers.
Lehigh Valley returns to PPL Center on Friday, November 13, to host Hamilton for Friday the 13th Night and Free Hotdog Friday presented by Berks Foods. The Phantoms are also home Saturday, November 14, against the Charlotte Checkers for Hockey is for Everyone Night.
