Transactions: Jacob Gaucher Recalled to Flyers

Phantoms’ Leading Scorer Rejoins Flyers Roster

October 27, 2026

Allentown, PA – The Philadelphia Flyers have recalled forward Jacob Gaucher from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Gaucher, 25, returns to the Flyers roster after being loaned to the Phantoms ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Belleville Senators. He appeared in three games with Philadelphia last week as part of his third consecutive season receiving a recall to the big club. He has now played in 11 career NHL games. In seven games with the Phantoms this season, Gaucher has registered four goals and four assists for eight points and has played in 204 career games with the Phantoms over the past four seasons scoring 52-46-98.

He is tied with Olle Lycksell for seventh all-time in goals by a Lehigh Valley player and also recently became the 15th ever to appear in 200 games with Lehigh Valley. In the 2025-26 season, he also became only the third Lehigh Valley player to record 20 or more goals in a season joining Danick Martel and Greg Carey. This year, he became the first player in Lehigh Valley history to score the first goal of the season two different times. He has recorded two hat tricks in his career.

The 6’3″ right-shooting center from Longueuil, Quebec has played in eight career games with the Philadelphia Flyers including four games last season. Gaucher signed a two-year contract with the Flyers on December 12, 2024 and made his NHL debut on February 2, 2025 with the Flyers at Colorado. He re-signed with the Flyers on a one-year contract on June 5, 2026.

Gaucher played parts of five seasons in the Quebec Maritimes (Major) Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with Baie-Comeau (2021-22) and Val-d’Or (2018-21) appearing in 242 games, scoring 65-76-141. He is the older brother of Nathan Gaucher of the Anaheim Ducks and San Diego Gulls. His father, Yannick Gaucher, is Assistant General Manager of the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies of the QMJHL.

The Phantoms travel to Rochester on Friday, October 30 for a 7:05 p.m. matchup against the Americans. Lehigh Valley returns to PPL Center on Sunday, November 1 at 3:05 p.m. against the Providence Bruins for Haunted on Hamilton, featuring pumpkin painting, trick-or-treating on the concourse, and a Popcorn Bucket Giveaway presented by Gruber.
