Allentown, PA – The Philadelphia Flyers and Lehigh Valley Phantoms have announced several roster moves.

Forward Garrett Wilson has signed an NHL contract with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Goaltender Aleksei Kolosov has been assigned by the Flyers to the Phantoms.

Forward Jonathan Gruden has joined the Phantoms on a tryout as a camp invite.

PHANTOMS TRAINING CAMP ROSTER – SEPT 27

Wilson, 35, completed his 15th season of professional hockey in 2025-26, spending time with the Flyers and their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The forward played 54 games with the Phantoms before spending the rest of the season with the Flyers. The rugged captain has served as captain or alternate captain for the Phantoms for six seasons and holds the Lehigh Valley records for most games (341) and penalty minutes (789).

His unlikely, fairy-tale return to the NHL after a nearly seven-year absence garnered national attention.

On March 19, 2026, in Los Angeles, Wilson suited up for the Flyers in what was his first NHL action since the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins. The forward played three total games for Philadelphia. Wilson was nominated by the Philadelphia chapter of the Professional Hockey Writers Association (PHWA) for the 2025-26 Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy, which recognizes a player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.

The 6-foot-3, 218-pound winger has played parts of 15 seasons in the AHL with San Antonio (2011-14), Portland (2015-16), Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (2016-19), Toronto (2019-20), and Lehigh Valley (2020-26). He spent the last three seasons as captain of the Phantoms. Wilson has played parts of five NHL seasons with Florida (2013-16), Pittsburgh (2018-19), and Philadelphia (2025-26). He has recorded 353 points (156g-197a) through 754 AHL games and eight points (2g-6a) through 87 NHL games.

Kolosov, 24, is entering his third ful season in North America. The Flyers Round 3 selection in 2021 played 38 games fo rthe Phantoms last season going 15-21-2, 2.98, .895. In 52 career games with Lehigh Valley, Kolosov is 21-28-3, 3.02, .892. The 6’1″ netminder from Minsk, Belarus has also played in 21 NHL games with the Flyers going 5-11-1, 3.64, .863.

Gruden, 26, is a veteran forward of six seasons in the AHL with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Utica Comets. Last year with Utica, Gruden recorded 12-14-26 in 67 games. He has played in 335 career AHL games scoring 65-75-140. He also played 16 NHL games with Pittsburgh scoring one goal. He scored a career-high 16-15-31 with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in 2022-23. The Rochester Hills, MI native was also a Round 4 selection of the Ottawa Senators in 2018.

He is the son of John Gruden who is currently an assistant coach with the Toronto Maple Leafs after winning a Calder Cup last year in his third season as head coach of the Toronto Marlies. John Gruden played 92 NHL games with Boston, Ottawa and Washington and also 175 AHL games with Providence and Grand Rapids.

Lehigh Valley’s current Training Camp roster now stands at 28 players.

The Phantoms wrap up their preseason slate Tuesday at PPL Center against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins before the games count for real. Opening Night is Saturday, October 3 against the Hartford Wolf Pack at PPL Center.
