Transaction: G Martin Ouellette Recalled by Lehigh Valley

Red-Hot Phantoms in Bridgeport, Hershey This Friday & Saturday

Lehigh Valley, PA – The Lehigh Valley Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, have recalled from loan goaltender Martin Ouellette from the Reading Royals of the ECHL. The transaction comes on the heels of All-Star netminder Anthony Stolarz’s recall by Philadelphia on Tuesday.

JustSports PhotographyA 24-year-old goaltender from Saint-Hippolyte, Quebec, Ouellette is in the midst of his second professional campaign and has posted a 10-8-2 overall record in 21 appearances with the Royals to go along with a 2.10 goals-against average and .915 save percentage this season.

In 10 career games with Lehigh Valley, the 6’1″, 184-pound netminder has registered a 3-4 mark with a 3.50 goals-against average and .876 save percentage.

Following the AHL All-Star break, Lehigh Valley returns to action with road tilts in Bridgeport and Hershey this Friday, February 5 and Saturday, February 6. In the midst of their 20th season of operation, the Phantoms are coming off their Inaugural Season as the Lehigh Valley Phantoms playing at the brand-new PPL Center. Established in 1996, the Phantoms spent their first 13 seasons at the Spectrum in Philadelphia before re-locating to Glens Falls, New York in 2009 where the team spent the next five seasons as the Adirondack Phantoms. A new era of Phantoms hockey began in the fall of 2014 when the Lehigh Valley Phantoms began play at the state-of-the-art PPL Center. Through 19 incredibly successful campaigns, the Phantoms have captured two Calder Cup Championships (1998, 2005), two Conference Championships (1998, 2005), two Regular Season Titles (1996-97, 1997-98) and four Division Championships (1996-97, 1997-98, 1998-99, 2003-04).
