Phantoms Kick Off 3-Game Road Trip Wednesday vs. Norfolk

Lehigh Valley, PA – The Philadelphia Flyers, parent club of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, have reassigned defenseman Maxim Lamarche from Lehigh Valley to the Reading Royals of the ECHL. Lamarche was reassigned to the Phantoms on Saturday and helped Lehigh Valley capture a 4-1 victory over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at PPL Center later that evening.

JustSports PhotographyA 22-year-old defenseman from Laval, Quebec, Lamarche is in the midst of his second professional season and returns to Reading as the Royals’ second-highest scoring defenseman having compiled 26 points (seven goals, 19 assists) in 54 games this season. This was the third stint with the Phantoms this season for the 6’3″, 218-pound defender who has recorded one assist and four penalty minutes over seven games with Lehigh Valley this year.

The Phantoms return to action this Wednesday, April 1st when they kick off a three-game road swing with a visit to the Norfolk Scope for a showdown with the Admirals. Lehigh Valley is then in Binghamton on Friday, April 3rd for its regular season finale with the Senators before traveling to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for a collision with the Penguins on Saturday, April 4th. In their 19th season of operation, the Phantoms are currently in the midst of their Inaugural Season as the Lehigh Valley Phantoms playing at the brand-new PPL Center. Established in 1996, the Phantoms spent their first 13 seasons at the Spectrum before re-locating to Glens Falls, New York in 2009 where the team spent the next five seasons as the Adirondack Phantoms. A new era of Phantoms hockey began in the fall of 2014 when the Lehigh Valley Phantoms began play at the state-of-the-art PPL Center. Through 18 incredibly successful campaigns, the Phantoms have captured two Calder Cup Championships (1998, 2005), two Conference Championships (1998, 2005), two Regular Season Titles (1996-97, 1997-98) and four Division Championships (1996-97, 1997-98, 1998-99, 2003-04).
