Lehigh Valley, PA – The Lehigh Valley Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, are pleased to announce that forward Cole Bardreau has joined the Phantoms on an amateur try-out (ATO).

A 21-year-old forward from Fairport, New York, Bardreau recently completed a four-year career at Cornell University where he compiled 18 goals, 35 assists and 53 points over 103 games. Most recently, he led the Big Red in scoring with 22 points (five goals, 17 assists) in 30 games during his senior season.

The 5’10”, 184-pound forward spent two years with the U.S. National Team Development Program in Ann Arbor, Michigan before that where he amassed eight goals, 15 assists and 23 points over 48 games.

In 2013, Bardreau represented the United States at the World Junior Championships in Ufa, Russia, helping lead the team to a gold medal while playing alongside Shayne Gostisbehere.

The Phantoms kicked off a five-game road trip with three victories in four days last week. After a 4-3 regulation triumph in Toronto on Wednesday, Lehigh Valley outlasted the Providence Bruins 2-1 in a shootout on Friday before earning a come-from-behind 4-2 victory at the Bridgeport Sound Tigers Saturday. The Phantoms cap their road swing with tilts in Hartford and Worcester this Friday and Saturday respectively before returning to PPL Center on Sunday, March 22nd for a rivalry showdown with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

In their 19th season of operation, the Phantoms are currently in the midst of their Inaugural Season as the Lehigh Valley Phantoms playing at the brand-new PPL Center. Established in 1996, the Phantoms spent their first 13 seasons at the Spectrum before re-locating to Glens Falls, New York in 2009 where the team spent the next five seasons as the Adirondack Phantoms. A new era of Phantoms hockey began in the fall of 2014 when the Lehigh Valley Phantoms began play at the state-of-the-art PPL Center. Through 18 incredibly successful campaigns, the Phantoms have captured two Calder Cup Championships (1998, 2005), two Conference Championships (1998, 2005), two Regular Season Titles (1996-97, 1997-98) and four Division Championships (1996-97, 1997-98, 1998-99, 2003-04).
