Have you had a great experience at a Phantoms game? We'd love to hear about it! Click here to tell us about your experience, interaction with a Phantoms staff member, or other memorable time you had with us!

Philadelphia Phantoms staff and players work hard to provide the best possible experience at our games and exceptional customer service. It is very rewarding to see fans having a great time at games, and to receive positive feedback from our efforts. Below are some of our favorite letters and emails:

Attn: Phlex & Jen: I just wanted to formally thank you both! You were so great with our kids. Thank you for coming to our Thanksgiving Celebration. As you may know, the children here at Youth Consultation Service (YCS) are disconnected from their families, and start the holiday season off on a pretty gloomy note. YCS makes every attempt to make sure that we do whatever we can to help make this special time of year as special as it can be in spite of their personal trials and tribulations. It was so exciting for me to watch the children’s facial expressions when meeting with Phlex. While many of the children did not even know who Phlex was, by the end of the night they were in amore of Phlex and to have seen the Calder Cup right in front of their faces was very special. Your energy and excitement really kept the crowd going. The two of you really took time with the children at their tables, giving out autographs and other goodies. I have to say you were one of the best guests we have ever had. Thanks again for putting smiles on our children faces, and the faces of our employees who work day in and day out with the children to help them to grow into independent, strong and able adolesents. These children have to overcome more challenges because of there disabilities, and to know that we have the support of our community out there helping us help the children means so much to our organization. Very truly yours, Rachelle Muckley YCS Southern Region Trainer

I just wanted to e-mail a big THANK YOU to Phlex for coming out to Russell Elementary School in Broomall, PA and helping to make our Book Fair a success! Phlex was terrific! He was very interactive with the kids and they loved him! My son especially liked being Phlex's "helper" for a little while. Thank you for your kindness and generosity! You made quite an impression with everyone. Karen Carr

Phlex, Thank you again for putting in an appearance at CHOP Oncology Clinic in Voorhees on Halloween. Even though there were not many children there at that time, the staff was very appreciative of your effort to be there, your professionalism, and, especially, your kindness to some very ill children. Joann Nawrocki (my sister-in-law) will never forget your graciousness and we will endeavor to invite you back again! Your signed photo is now a permanent part of our events board which shows Alexa's Butterfly Friends' supporters what our activities have been. Thanks again, and God bless! Donna Grasso P.S. As a 30+ years hockey fan I probably enjoyed having you there the most. But...you are shorter without your skates...! -Donna Grasso

Dear Phlex, Im student in my last phase of becoming a cardiovascular tech. Its been a long and exhusting road with nights with out sleep studing for finals. Whenever Im discouaged I just think about the game against the penguins last year that the guys pulled off such an amazing come back. I'd just like to let you know seeing such a great team makes anything seem possiable. Kate Ladigoski

thank you Phlex for being my best friend all last season. I enjoyed waiting for you to come out the tunnel before every game and you always rubbing my head and tapping my hand. CJ McKnight

This past Saturday, I was able to go to the Flyers Season ticket holder party, courtesy of my bosses, Steve and John, who gave me the tickets. I went there with my three kids, Michael, Lauren and Zack. We had fun at the party, however, the real fun was that we got the tickets to the Phantoms game that night against Binghamton. We went up to the second level as early as possible, to get the best Gen. Admission seats we could. We were sitting in the second row from the front of the second level, by the entrance arch. At about 5 past 6, a girl named Carrie(sp?) came up to us with a clipboard and asked if she could ask a few questions. "Sure", I said. Next thing I knew we were greeted by Jen, and Casey from WMMR, and Flex. I cannot tell you the thrill it gave me, to see the joy on my kids faces. To see the game that close, and to be treated like we were special meant so much to us. We don't have the resources to go to games too much, but we go when we can. If you do this at every game, you must be making lots of happy people, even happier yet. From myself, Lauren, Michael and Zack, thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Sincerely, Jim Lafond

I have been a fan of hockey for years and have gone to the occasional Phantoms game during the seasons. This year something was different, the 2004 -2005 Phantoms are amazing. This team has brought me back to every home game and all the play off home games so far. I even reserved season tickets for next year. You guys are so exciting to watch play and I enjoy the way they interact with your fans. There is nothing better then seeing a girl giggle when a player waves or smiles at her (myself included). I am sure you have heard this before but you are a great team and I want to thank you for doing such a great job and playing so hard. You are a great group of guys and derserve all you can get. Lots of LOVE and LUCK!

Thanks to the Phantoms players who after a road game took time when they could have been relaxing to sign autographs and talk to two young boys. I took two boys to a game in Grand Rapids. These kids love hockey but don't have a dad to take them to games. They decided to root for the Phantoms because me and my teenage sons are Flyers/Phantoms fans. During the game both boys got a puck and a broken stick, so they were thrilled, and they were pleased with the Phantoms 6-1 win. After the game, several of the players were in a local restaurant. They were happy to sign autographs and talk to these young boys. The boys had a great time and will remember this for a long time.

My children and I often go to the Phantoms games. We have a great time. There is a lot of talent and character on team. After the games, my children often want to wait for the players to get autographs and take pictures. The Phantoms ALWAYS sign with a smile. They ALWAYS take the time out for their fans. The Phantoms are a great bunch of guys both on and off the ice!! Best of luck and happiness to you always. We love you! Thank you for the special memories!!! When you guys stop and talk, and sign autographs, you have no idea what that means to my children. Actually, I think you do know what that means to the fans :) Thanks for being YOU! You guys are the best! Thanks again for the memories both on and off the ice! Best to you always.

I can't begin to tell how terrific the Phantoms Kids Club bowling party was. I would like to thank you, the coordinating staff and the Phantom players for taking time on their Sunday afternoon to make such a wonderful day for the Kids and even the adults. I can tell you for certain that you folks made one nine year old boy extremely happy!!! We Love the Phantoms organization, everyone connected with it is the greatest!!! From a family that will be loyal Phantoms fans forever, thanks again.

Jim, Karen and Christopher(CJ) "The Popp Family"

I love the Phantoms players and they are truly a class act in my book. I have thoroughly enjoyed going to the games, the giveaways, and the on-ice action. I always try to make their Voorhees practices at least once a week (or more!) during the season. They have never refused to sign anything I've ever given them, and always sign with a smile. They are a great bunch of guys. I want them to win the Calder Cup next year, and I'll be there cheering for them. Thanks for some great memories! I love you guys!

Angie

I also wanted to say what a great time we had Tuesday night at the skating party. My 3-year-old skated his heart out and met his favorite players, and the dinner was excellent. The Phantoms do a great job with the event, and really make us feel appreciated as season ticket holders.

Joan Grazel

Last night (1/25/04) my family enjoyed the game and the pictures with the players. Every one of the players were very nice and made sure that all my children were in the picture. They all took those extra few seconds to be involved and didn't try to hurry us off. It is an experience I am sure my children will never forget. Please express my gratitude to all the players and the rest of the Phantoms people for last night.

Kathy Sasser

I went to my first Phantoms game ever last night (12/28/03) and I just wanted to tell you that I had a great time. I am 22 and when I was younger my dad had Flyers season tickets and I used to go to a lot of the games with him. I don't get to Flyers games so much anymore but my cousin was playing the Flyers Alumni last night after your game so I came early to see you guys first. It was a fun time and I definitely plan to go to more games now. Hopefully I will be able to make it on April 4th when you guys play the Senators again.

This past Sunday there was a Phantoms Kids Club program at the Brunswick Zone facility in Feasterville. The program was organized by your staff so the kids would have an opportunity to meet some of the players and bowl with them. We felt it necessary to tell you what a good time the kids had and how professional and friendly the staff and players were to everyone. We were so impressed with how everyone interacted with the kids. It is something they will not soon forget and have been talking about it for days. The players sat and talked to the kids, signing numerous autographs and taking just as many pictures. To their credit, they even played laser tag and did a line dance with them. Never hesitating or with a sense of reluctance, the players really went out of their way to make it a great experience. We have a game plan and come down to about 10 games a year. The kids will forever have a different view of the players as real people and almost like friends. Patrick Sharp even asked the kids he bowled with for THEIR autographs (our daughter was really impressed with that). What the players did for the children that day does not go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated by us as parents. We will be in the stands cheering for what they do on the ice and now for what they have done off of it too.

Patrick & Michele Loughlin

My daughter Brittany (9) and I attended today's practice in Voorhees. The long wait to meet Brittany's 'friends' was worth every second. I can not thank the members of your team enough for all the time and courtesy they extended her after a long practice. I will never forget her reaction, it was priceless. The Phantoms are a first class organization and my family thanks you all for everything.

DEAR PHANTOMS, MY SON IS IN KINDERGARTEN AT BLAIR MILL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND ALL HE HAS BEEN TALKING ABOUT FOR THE LAST TWO DAYS IS PHLEX THE PHANTOMS MASCOT AND A PLAYER FOR THE PHANTOMS (HE COULDN'T REMEMBER THE NUMBER) WHO SHOWED THE SCHOOL ALL THE HOCKEY EQUIPMENT THEY WEAR TO PLAY AND TALKED TO THE KIDS ABOUT HOCKEY. I CAN'T THANK YOU AND WHOEVER WAS THERE ENOUGH, HE REALLY LOVED IT. HE ALREADY ASKED FOR A PHANTOMS JERSEY FOR CHRISTMAS TO GO WITH HIS FLYERS JERSEY. I HAVE BEEN A FLYERS FAN FOR YEARS AND NOW YOU HAVE A NEW FAN. THANK YOU FOR MAKING A LITTLE BOY'S DAY.

DAN HAMILTON

I took my son, Austin, to the Phantoms' bowling party on Sunday. I wanted to say "Thanks" to every one in the organization - Phlex, admin people, and the players who attended. The event was wonderful. The players were all warm and welcoming to the kids. It was a wonderful event, a lot of fun, and created great Phantoms memories for my son. Thanks again.

Dan Citrenbaum

Can you tell all the players and the front office of the Phantoms thank you? Yesterday (Kids Club Bowling Party) was a great time, and the players really were great in giving up their time after the long road trip. Chloe & Sammie had a great time, and it was fabulous for the team to do this for the kids.

I just wanted to let you know that my family and I were at the November 23 game and had a great time because of an employee named Bill. My husband had won 4 tickets to the game and a meet and greet with one of the players after the game. Well it just so happened to be our son's 7th birthday and his favorite player is Kirby Law so we asked if it was at all possible to meet Kirby and Bill was not sure he could do it, but on this night we got to meet Kirby and let me tell you my son was in shock! Thanks again Bill for making my son's dream come true and thanks to Kirby Law for taking time out to meet us! Keep up the good work! LET'S GO PHANTOMS!!!!!!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank the Philadelphia Phantoms for a wonderful evening that our family had at the Phantoms game last night against the Syracuse Crunch. My son and his best friend were so excited that they both were able to receive a practice puck before the game started. After an exciting game, they got their pictures taken with all of the players. They can't wait to get the pictures with Neil Little developed. What a memorable night for two six-year-olds.

I just wanted to say thank you for another great season. My husband and I were able to bring our family to six games this season. Each game was a real treat. My four-year-old son loves Phlex and enjoyed meeting many of his favorite cartoon characters throughout the year. All three kids loved getting the Phantoms hockey cards. They love looking at the cards and recalling plays by that player. They are already talking about taking the cards to Flyers/Phantoms softball games to get the cards autographed. The kids also enjoyed being members of the Phantomaniacs Club. They really liked getting a birthday card signed by a player. We frequently check the web page to get the scores of games in progress. We also watch the games televised on CN8. I have been a Flyers fan for 30+ years and have been following the Phantoms since their first season. The Phantoms offer my family an affordable way to see professional hockey in person. We will continue to check in on the Phantoms during the off-season and are looking forward to next season.

Thank you again
Dawn Lyons

A quick note to thank you once again for Friday evening. The Phantoms do a great job catering to the kids, and really create a family environment. I’ve been going to Flyers games since the early ‘80’s and never heard anything like the SpongeBob song played! Funny sight, my kids went from singing the theme song to cheering for a fight. The Phantoms certainly gained two young fans.

Hello all! I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank each & every one of you who work on this great web site. I am a relative of Andre Savage living in Ottawa, and many times, your site has been the only way to keep track of his progress in the AHL. It was with great regret that I learned that Andre has been moved to the Providence Bruins. In his stay with the Phantoms, I have become a fan, and the team has become my favourite in the AHL. I even had a chance to attend a game last year, which was just great! Your staff has made being a fan very rewarding. The rich contents of your website (Clips, interviews, photos, etc.) are already being missed. Seems like interaction with fans matter more to some teams, and in that department, you guys have been #1. So I remain a fan, and again, wanted to thank you for everything you have provided me and my family over the last couple years. I remain a true fan of the Phantoms, and wish you all the best for the current season.

Yours Truly,
Stephan Souliere

I wanted to send you a note as to a memorable experience during Sunday's game. For my son's, Justin, 12th birthday, he asked me to take a group of his friends to a Phantoms hockey game. I used the October 12th game for this opportunity to take him and his five friends along with my daughter, Ashley, 10 years old, and her friend.

We arrived early and therefore were able to see the players "warm-up" before the game. The boys decided to take a closer look and quickly move down to the ice. Ashley and friend soon followed. As the players were finishing their "warm-ups," Mark Murphy must have noticed the kids down at the ice. Ashley was doing her best to wave and wish the players well before the game. A short time later, Mr. Murphy skated over to Ashley and flicked a puck over the glass to her. Ashley has been going through a lot lately, and I cannot express how that made her feel. From that point forward, every time Mr. Murphy took the ice, Ashley was his biggest fan. Then when he scored a goal, she turned to me and said, "You know Dad, he scored the goal because I was wishing him well tonight." While I know this was only one of many games Mr. Murphy will play in his career, the influence his behavior had on my daughter and the joy I experienced with her will last a lifetime.

We have always enjoyed Phantom hockey, but what might have been a casual gesture by Mr. Murphy had a tremendous impact on Ashley.

Sincerely,
Ken Liss

I just want to thank Phantoms rookie Nick Deschenes. After coming from the Children's Hospital on Thursday 10/04/2003, my son Austin was feeling kind of down. To cheer him up, we stopped by the Phantoms practice in Voorhees. Nick Deschenes took the time to talk to him for a minute, and gave him a puck. He also made my son's day. When we watched the Phantoms play the Flyers, we rooted for our new favorite player, and we were thrilled that he scored a goal and three assists. I think that fine players like Nick, who take the extra time with their fans, are the biggest reason that Phantoms hockey is a great family experience.

Thanks again,
Nick Ragno

I was at the game last night 10/19/03 and my son won 2nd place in the Halloween Costume Contest! He loved it! Thank you very much for this opportunity. This was the first game that we have been to and it was an all around great time.

Thank you again,
Kelly DeSilvio
