Phantoms Community Update

February 27, 2014

Have you noticed all the different groups, schools and community organizations who are a big part of our Adirondack Phantoms home games? There is so much local involvement happening all the time and the Phantoms are always out and about in the community too! Find out how you can involve your school or organization in a fundraiser or group outing with the Phantoms by calling 518-480-3355.

Brandon Manning and Ben Holmstrom and Dax recently visited the group at AIM Services in Saratoga. AIM Services, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit organization providing residential and community-based services to individuals with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injury. We were also honored to have AIM Services as our guests at the Glens Falls Civic Center for a fundraiser with the Phantoms. The whole group performed the National Anthem at center-ice and then enjoyed a fun night of Phantoms hockey!

The Phantoms are supporting a great cause at the Cancer Free Kids Bowling Fundraiser this Friday from 6-9
PM at King Pin Alley in South Glens Falls. Get your team together!. Minimum $20/person includes unlimited bowling and shoe rental.
Raffle Prizes including some Phantoms stuff. And special discount Phantoms fundraiser tickets for an upcoming game on March 22 with proceeds to benefit their fundraiser. Reserve your lane for this Friday's bowling fun for a good cause at 518-793-9606.

Appearing at our upcoming Sunday home game will be a group from Warrensburg Students Against Destructive Driving who are offering special fundraising tickets and will perform the National Anthem, and the United Methodist Church who are selling fundraiser tickets to the game to benefit their Skye Farm Summer Camp Fund.
It's also Hockey Weekend Across America. Special discount tickets including a food voucher available for kids involved in youth hockey when purchased in advance of gameday. Kids should wear their youth jersey to the game!

The Adirondack Phantoms will hold their annual Season Ticket Holder Party on Tuesday, March 4 from 6-8 PM in Heritage Hall. The whole team will be there to thank all of our full and partial season ticket holders for their terrific support of the team. Thank you, fans!

Deborah-Grace Franzoni O'Neill was the lucky winner of our "Lunch with Fitzy" contest for Season Ticket Holders. The family received the opportunity to meet Zack FitzGerald at Peppermill Restaurant. He's a tough-guy on the ice but the nicest guy in the world away from the game which is why he was named our Phantoms Man of the Year last season for his commitment to community involvement. Thanks, Fitzy! Looks like everyone had a great time!

Rob Bordson, Cullen Eddy and Nick Cousins were guest celebrity servers at Applebee's this week and had a great time with the fans who came out to meet the team. 11 year old Ian Pepper was the lucky winner of the team's jersey giveaway!

25 Terrific Seasons
Glens Falls is celebrating its 25th season hosting an AHL team and in so doing now joins an elite group of just 9 other active markets who can make such a claim. It's a great hockey tradition with an old-school feel that began with the Adirondack Red Wings in 1979. In their 20-year tenure at the Glens Falls Civic Center through 1999, the Red Wings won four Calder Cups. The Adirondack Phantoms began play in Glens Falls in 2009-10 and are in their fifth season bringing exciting AHL action to the North Country.
