Flyers have signed restricted free agent defenseman
Brandon Manning to a one-year contract, according
to general manager Paul Holmgren.
Brandon Manning played 65 games
for the Adirondack Phantoms last season while
also serving as an alternate captain in just his
second year as a pro. He posted six goals and
15 assists for 21 points along with 135 PIM, and
represented the team at the 2013 AHL All-Star
Classic. In 111 games with the Phantoms over the
past two seasons, Manning has recorded 12 goals
and 28 assists for 40 points, along with 216 PIM.
Manning, 23 (6/4/1990), appeared in six games
for the Philadlpeiha Flyers last season, recording
two assists. He has appeared in a career total
of 10 games for the Philadelphia Flyers over the
last two seasons.
Manning originally signed with the Flyers as a
free agent on November 23, 2010, and joined the
organization prior to the 2011-12 season following
the completion of his junior career with the Chilliwack
Bruins of the Western Hockey League.
Adirondack's preseason opener is Saturday, September
28 against the Albany Devils at the Glens Falls
Opening Night is Saturday, October 12 against
