By Seth DeWitt

While the Stanley Cup playoffs are occurring in the States, four Phantoms are currently participating at the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Tournament. Here is an update from Helsinki and Stockholm.

Forward Marcel Noebels, the fourth round pick of the Flyers in the 2011, has averaged 5:28 of ice-time in two games for Team Germany (0-2-1). He appeared in 41 games this past season with Adirondack tallying 13 goals and 10 assists.

Defenseman Erik Gustafsson has been impressive thus far for Sweden (1-1-0) in the tournament. Through three games, Gustafsson is ranked second on the team in ice-time (20:32 per game), has recorded an assist and is a plus 3.

Defenseman Oliver Lauridsen, playing alongside his brother Markus, has appeared in both games for Denmark (0-2-0) averaging over 19 minutes of ice-time per game.

Cal Heeter has yet to appear in a game for Team USA (2-0-0). He is behind fellow goaltenders Ben Bishop and John Gibson. Heeter finished with 12 wins and a .908 save percentage in 32 games for the Phantoms this season.
