The American Hockey League has announced that
Adirondack Phantoms defenseman Brandon Manning
has been added to the Eastern Conference roster
for the 2013 Dunkin' Donuts AHL All-Star Classic
to take place Sunday and Monday, January 27 and
28 in Providence, R.I.
Manning replaces Erik Gustafsson on the roster
who is injured and will be unable to participate
in what would have been his second AHL All-Star
Classic. Manning is a second-year pro and this
will be his first AHL All-Star Classic.
The AHL All-Star Classic can be seen nationwide
on various cable networks including Time Warner
Cable Sports in Glens Falls (Channels 50 and HD-1803).
Manning, 22, signed with the Flyers in 2010 out
of the Chilliwack Bruins program in the Western
Hockey League where he had served as that team's
captain. Manning is an alternate captain for the
Phantoms this year. He joined the Adirondack Phantoms
roster in December, 2010 and skated in 46 games
with Adirondack that season scoring 6 goals and
13 assists.
He also played in 4 games with the Philadelphia
Flyers last season making his NHL debut on March
8, 2012 against the Florida Panthers.
This year with Adirondack, he has 5 goals and
6 assists for 11 points in 37 games with 66 penalty
minutes. Manning scored the first overtime game-winner
of his professional career on October 28 at the
