The Adirondack
Phantoms have announced that goalie Cal Heeter
has been reassigned by the Philadelphia Flyers
to the Trenton Titans of the ECHL, according to
general manager Paul Holmgren.
Heeter, 24, is a rookie out of Ohio State. He
has gone 7-11-1, 2.97, .906 with the Adirondack
Phantoms this year in 20 games played. The St.
Louis native came about an inch away from his
first professional shutout on January 5, 2013
when he allowed just one goal to Chad Kolarik
of the Connecticut Whale that barely crossed the
goal-line (and had to be confirmed by video review)
in a 2-1 overtime victory.
The roster move now leaves the Phantoms with two
extremely experienced goalies, 30-year-old Scott
Munroe and 36-year-old NHL veteran Brian Boucher.
