The Adirondack Phantoms have announced that rookie
center Andrew Johnston has been reassigned to
the team according to general manager Paul Holmgren.
The 21 year old from Saskatoon, SK began the season
with the Phantoms playing in 10 games and scoring
one goal. He was reassigned to Trenton (ECHL)
on November 19 where he played in two games with
one goal scored. His most recent game action was
November 24 before an injury kept him out of action
for the past few weeks.
Johnston was signed by the Flyers as a free agent
from the Humbolt Broncos (SJHL) where he had 29
goals and 81 points in just 58 games in the regular
season followed by a 10 goal outburst in the post-season
leading the team to the Anavet Cup Championship
pitting the champions of the Saskatchewan Junior
Hockey League against the top team from the Manitoba
Junior Hockey League.
