Get ready to mark your calendars! The Adirondack Phantoms have announced their schedule for the 2012-13 season presented by Bud Light.

The schedule features 34 weekend or holiday games at the Glens Falls Civic Center and a total of 15 different opponents.

It all begins Saturday, October 13 on Opening Night against the Portland Pirates in a night befitting of the great retro jerseys as everything old becomes new again. In 1981, the Adirondack Red Wings defeated the Maine Mariners for the Calder Cup. Phantoms head coach Terry Murray was a player for the Maine Mariners that year who were the affiliates of the Philadelphia Flyers.

"We have 34 home games on weekends this season which is absolutely perfect for our fans," said executive vice president Chris Porreca. "Now everyone knows what dates to mark on their calendars and can make their plans with their families or can book their large group outings with the Phantoms!"

Adirondack and Albany will battle 12 times this season in their local rivalry including six times in Glens Falls. The Phantoms defended the Time Warner Cable Cup in 2011-12 when they won the season series over the Devils for the second consecutive season.

Some other big home games will include the annual Black Friday game on November 23 against the defending Calder Cup champion Norfolk Admirals as well as the annual New Years' Eve game at 3:00 taking on the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

The St. John's IceCaps will make their first ever visit to Glens Falls on November 28. St. John's will also be the site for the first major away trip of the year as the Phantoms will fly to Newfoundland in the second weekend of the season, October 19-20.

The Phantoms' annual game in Philadelphia will take place on Friday, February 22 at the Wells Fargo Center against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
