The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that they have re-signed defenseman Marc-Andre Bourdon to a multi-year contract extension and have signed center Scott Laughton to an entry-level contract, according to General Manager Paul Holmgren.

Bourdon, 22 (9-17-89), was selected by the Flyers in the third round (67th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut with the Flyers in 2011-12 and went on to play in 45 games, contributing four goals and three assists for seven points along with a plus-4 rating.

Bourdon has spent the past three seasons with the Flyers’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms, where he had four goals and 29 assists for 33 points, along with 168 PIM, over the course of 125 games.

He was a third-round selection of the Flyers in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. The St. Hyacinthe, Quebec native played in just 18 games with the Phantoms last year while spending the majority of the season in Philadelphia. He scored one goal and three assists with Adirondack in 2011-12.

Laughton, 18 (5-30-94), was the Flyers’ first-round selection (20thoverall) in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He has played the past two seasons for the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League, where he scored 33 goals and added 43 assists for 76 points in 127 games. In 2011-12, Laughton had 53 points over 64 games, but scored 41 of those points (18G, 23A) over the final 39 games of the season.
He ranked third on the team with 101 PIM and also added five points (2G-3A) in six games during the OHL Playoffs.
