Training Camp Begins with 31 Players
Hockey is indeed back in Glens Falls! The sounds
of skates rushing up ice and pucks banging against
the walls were heard once again inside the Civic
Center. The Adirondack Phantoms hit the ice Monday
afternoon for their first practice. 31 players are
in training camp for Joe Paterson’s squad
including 17 who dressed with the Phantoms last
year. Welcome back guys! We can’t wait for
Opening Night.

Season Ticket Holder Pickup Party this Thursday
Thursday, September 29, 6:00-8:00 - Heritage Hall
inside the Glens Falls Civic Center
It’s an annual tradition! Season ticket holders
are invited to Heritage Hall this Thursday evening
to pick up their tickets. 22 game and 12 game plan
members are also invited to attend. Come meet some
of the Phantoms players and Head Coach Joe Paterson.
The Phantoms merchandise stand will be open and
the Phantoms staff will be at your service and also
talking a little hockey.
Phantoms to Host Outdoor Classic
The Phantoms have announced they will be a part
of the NHL Winter Classic week-long celebration
of hockey when they host the Hershey Bears on January
6 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. This will
be only the third outdoor game in AHL history and
is the first to be associated with the NHL Winter
Classics. It is also the first ever outdoor game
for the Phantoms.
"This is an extremely exciting day for the
Phantoms organization and Phantoms fans everywhere,"
said Phantoms President Rob Brooks. "A hockey
celebration and atmosphere unlike anything the AHL
has ever seen will happen at Citizens Bank Park.
We are extremely grateful to (Comcast Spectacor
President) Peter Luukko for helping make this truly
great event a reality."
Citizens Bank Park will also host the Philadelphia
Flyers vs. the New York Rangers on January 2. It
is the baseball home for the Philadelphia Phillies
and will have a seating capacity of approximately
40,000. The Phantoms are hoping to break the all-time
AHL attendance record of 21,673 set last season
at an outdoor game in East Hartford, Conn.

All Adirondack Phantoms games are carried live on

Classic Hits Q101.7 FM. Each broadcast begins with
a 30 pregame show. Also featured is an extended
post-game show including audio replay highlights
of the big goals so be sure to tune in as you driving
home after the game. Bob Rotruck returns for his
second season has the Voice of the Phantoms.

The first broadcasts of the season are this weekend
for the preseason games on October 1 and 2. The
debut broadcast begins on Saturday night at 6:30
with the Countdown to Faceoff show from the Glens
Falls Civic Center as the Phantoms get ready to
take on the Albany Devils.

The first ever bobblehead of local sports icon Jimmer
Fredette highlights a great schedule of promotional

Update at the Civic Center
Construction continues at the GFCC on the exciting
new improvements that are sure to thrill every Phantoms
fan this season. Slated to make their spectacular
debut on Opening Night, October 8 are the big video
boards as well as a brand new sound system. It is
going to be great and we know you are as excited
about it as we are!
AHL Changes
The Adirondack Phantoms are in the newly formed
Northeast Division in the Eastern Conference in
2011-12. The four divisional rivals in the Northeast
include the Albany Devils (NJ), Bridgeport Sound
Tigers (NYI), Connecticut Whale (NYR) and Springfield
Falcons (CLB). The top eight teams out of 15 in
the conference will qualify for the post-season
this year and the divisional champion will automatically
receive one of the top three seeds.
Phantoms Training Camp Roster
Fans can pick up a copy of the Phantoms roster complete
with uniform numbers, height, weight, hometown and
last year's stats at the Phantoms offices inside
the Glens Falls Civic Center. Here is the full roster
of the 31 players currently in the Adirondack training
camp. Keep in mind the Phantoms may receive additional
players from Philadelphia in the coming days and
they have to trim down this roster for Opening Day.
It will be a competitive training camp to be sure!
