As training camp continues
and preseason games get underway for the Philadelphia
Flyers some players will begin making their way
to Glens Falls for the official beginning of training
camp with the Adirondack Phantoms. Sunday, September
25 and Monday, September 26 are the opening days
for Phantoms camp.. The first practice for the Phantoms
is scheduled for 1-3 PM on Monday, September 26
at the Glens Falls Civic Center and will be followed
by sessions at 10:00 AM each day for the rest of
the week.
All Phantoms practices are free and open to the
public. It is a great opportunity for area fans
to get an early look at the team as they prepare
for the season. The ice at the Glens Falls Civic
has been put down and everyone is getting ready
for the start of hockey season again.
The team's preseason opener will be a special game
at Saratoga Springs, NY on Wednesday, September
28 against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Tickets
for this game are being sold exclusively by Saratoga
Youth Hockey at Weibel Arena in Saratoga Springs.
The Phantoms are not selling tickets for this game.
On Thursday, Septebmer 29 there will be a special
Season Ticket Holder Pickup Party in Heritage Hall
from 6:00-8:00 PM. Fans can pick up their full season
tickets or 22 or 12 game plans at this time and
catch up with the Phantoms and fellow fans.
Adirondack is back at the Glens Falls Civic Center
on Saturday, October 1 renewing their rivalry with
the Albany Devils. Tickets for this preseason game
go on sale beginning Monday, Septebmer 26 at the
Phantoms office inside the Glens Falls Civic Center.
Tickets for the October 1 preseason game are $10
for adults and $5 for kids.
Of course, all attentions are focused on Opening
Night, Saturday, October 8. The Phantoms take on
the Connecticut Whale, the affiliate of the New
York Rangers, in the big season opener at the Glens
Falls Civic Center. Come be a part of something
special as the Phantoms make their official 2011-12
debut.
