The Adirondack Phantoms
are proud to announce the additions of several talented
staff members to their front office. The newest
employees of the team come from all over the country
and a wide range of sports related backgrounds.
"We have a great team in place with enthusiastic
and passionate staff members ready to work hard,"
said Phantoms Executive Vice President Chris Porreca.
"Our fans will enjoy getting to know this talented
and fun group of professionals who are dedicated
to making the family entertainment experience the
best it can possibly be at every Phantoms game."
Erik Hansen joined the staff in June, 2011 in the
new position of Vice President of Tickets. His responsibilities
include providing direction and supervision for
the ticket sales team, creating and implementing
new and innovative ticket campaigns and overseeing
the customer service functions. Prior to joining
the team, Erik was the Assistant General Manager
and Director of Ticket Sales for the Philadelphia
Independence, a women's professional soccer team.
He also spent over five years working for Comcast
Spectacor in Philadelphia within the sales departments
for the Philadelphia Phantoms and the Philadelphia
76ers and Flyers. Erik has also worked for the New
York Jets. He has a B.A. in Speech Communication
from Kutztown University.
Stacey Cerritelli joins the Phantoms as an Account
Executive after working last year with the Hershey
Bears in a variety of duties including game operations.
The Johnson & Wales University alumna grew up
in Denver, Colorado. Prior to her work with the
Bears, Stacey was with the Pepsi Center in Denver
for four years gaining valuable experience with
the Colorado Avalanche (NHL), Denver Nuggets (NBA)
and their indoor football and lacrosse teams.
Mike Weinberg is a new Account Executive with the
Phantoms with a background that includes Community
Relations and other duties with the New York Rangers,
New York Islanders and New York Mets. Mike went
to St. John's University in Queens, NY and is originally
from Brooklyn, NY.
David Seitz will work in Inside Sales with the Phantoms.
The Slingerlands, NY native (near Albany) attended
Franklin & Marshall University in Lancaster,
Pennsylvania where he worked with the athletics
department. David also interned with the Lancaster
Barnstormers minor league baseball team. He will
be pulling double-duty this season as he is also
going for his M.B.A. at the University of Albany
via their weekend program.
Matt Valinski will provide work that will perhaps
be the most noticeable for all Phantoms fans throughout
the season. Matt will serve as the teams Marketing
Manager and Director of Game Operations. His creativity
and technical abilities will be showcased through
the new sound system and video boards at the Glens
Falls Civic Center for the enjoyment and benefit
of all Phantoms fans! Matt did similar work last
season for the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs in Louisiana
of the Central Hockey League. Matt graduated from
Central Michigan University and originally hails
from Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Jen Fox has been with the team since March, 2011
as Director of Corporate Partnerships in which she
secures the relationships with a variety of businesses
in our region. She has previously worked as an advertising
executive at the Post-Star and Marketing Representative
with Adirondack Broadcasting. The Queensbury, NY
native went to the College of Saint Rose. Jen lives
in Queensbury with her husband and their four year
old "little handful."
Seth DeWitt is a familiar face to many Phantoms
fans. The Queensbury, NY native had a Media and
Public Relations internship with the Phantoms last
year and was so impressive in his dedication and
work ethic that he earned his way into a full-time
position with the team. He also worked with the
Glens Falls Golden Eagles baseball team in media
relations. This season with the Phantoms, Seth will
work the dual role of Corporate Partnership Fulfillment
and Merchandise Director. Seth studied Sport Management
at Western New England College in Springfield, Mass.
Mark your calendars! Adirondack Phantoms Opening
Night is coming on Saturday, October 8. The Phantoms
take on the Connecticut Whale to begin the third
season of exciting Phantoms hockey in Glens Falls.
