The Adirondack Phantoms
have announced that this Friday will be Military
Appreciation Night at the Glens Falls Civic Center
when the team plays Albany at 7:30. The men and
women of the Armed Forces will
be honored throughout the night. Special ticket
prices for the game are just $10 for adults and
$5 for kids courtesy of Time Warner Cable.
Vehicles and demonstrations will be set up outside
on the plaza prior to the game. Dax will be riding
in a military humvee to fire t-shirts into the crowd
during the intermissions.
Before the game, the National Guard will be presenting
our nation's colors and the National Anthem will
be performed by Staff Sergeant Brooke Leavitt. A
special ceremonial puck drop will be done by Sergeant
First class Bryn Reynolds who was recently awarded
the Bronze Star with Valor Device for combat actions
during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
A moment of silence prior to the game to honor those
who currently serve, have served, or have given
the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
