Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Phantoms have announced a number of roster moves according to interim Head Coach John Paddock. The Phantoms are calling up three players from the Greenville (SC) Road Warriors of the ECHL: Cullen Eddy, Shane Harper and Nic Riopel.

Additionally, the Phantoms are sending two players on loan to Greenville: Garrett Klotz and Brian Stewart.

Riopel and Eddy are rejoining the team after having both played for the Phantoms in Wednesday night's game in Charlotte. On Thursday they were in uniform for Greenville in a 4-2 victory over Wheeling although Riopel did not play in that game.

Shane Harper is a Valencia, California native who played in five games with the Phantoms last April after completing his WHL career with the Everett Silvertips where he lit it up for 42 goals and 80 points in 2009-10. The 21 year old righty shooter has three goals and 10 points in 11 games with the Road Warriors this season. Harper made his AHL debut on April 2, 2010 shortly after signing his contract with the Flyers organization. He scored his first AHL goal on April 9, 2010 at the Glens Falls Civic Center against the Binghamton Senators.

Nic Riopel, 21, was a 5th round choice of the Flyers in 2009 out of Moncton of the QMJHL. The native of Beloeil, PQ  won Quebec League Player of the Year honors as well as Goaltender of the Year going 43-11-4, 2.05, .930.

Riopel took the tough-luck loss Wednesday with a stellar 22 save performance in a 2-1 decision to the Charlotte Checkers while earning #2 Star of the Game honors. It was Riopel's first AHL game this season after playing in ten last year.

He made his professional debut in the first ever Adirondack Phantoms game on October 3, 2009. He played in 10 games with the Phantoms last season going 4-6-0, 3.35, .893 and then in December was sent back to Canadian Major Junior so he could get more playing time. In his last season with Moncton he went 19-5-0, 2.06, .918.

This season Riopel attended the 2010 training camps of the Philadelphia Flyers and Adirondack Phantoms. He was assigned to the Flyers' ECHL affiliate in Greenville where he won ECHL Goalie of the Week for week of 10/25/10 - 10/31/10 with a 2-0-0 record, 1.50 GAA, and .944 save percentage. This past Saturday he earned his first pro shutout with 32 saves vs. the Florida Everblades.

Riopel is 6-2-1, 2.65, .918 with the Greenville Road Warriors this season.

Cullen Eddy is a 6'0" blueliner from Hidden Valley, Pennsylvania who is celebrating his 22nd birthday today. The Mercyhurst College product signed an ECHL contract in March of last year with the Cincinnati Cyclones and appeared in eight Kelly Cup playoff games helping Cincinnati win the league championship.

Eddy earned an assist on Wednesday night on the Phantoms' lone goal when the rebound from his right-point slapshot was poked in by Andrew Rowe. It was the first AHL game and also the first AHL point in Eddy's career.

Eddy scored his first professional goal on October 29, 2010 for Greenville vs. the South Carolina Stingrays. So far this season with Greenville he has one goal and two assists in seven games. He has a rating of +5 and also has 14 penalty minutes.

Brian Stewart is a rookie goalie out of Northern Michigan University. He played in three games with the Phantoms late last season after the completion of his NCAA career. This season with the Phantoms the 6'4" netminder from Burnaby, BC has gone 0-4-0, 4.73, .846.
