| GLENS FALLS, NY - Rookie Eric Wellwood has been returned to the Adirondack Phantoms from the Philadelphia Flyers according to Flyers General Manager Paul Holmgren.
The 20-year-old from Windsor, Ontario played in three games for the Flyers recording one assist. He made his NHL debut on Monday, November 1 against the Carolina Hurricanes. His first NHL point came on Saturday, November 6 assisting on a third period game-winning goal by Andreas Nodl against the New York Islanders.
Wellwood has played in 11 games with the Phantoms this year scoring three goals and one assist. His first professional goal was a third period game-winner on October 15th against the Syracuse Crunch in the Phantoms’ home opener.
Wellwood is expected to make his return to the lineup on Thursday, November 11 when the Phantoms host the Toronto Marlies.
