| GLENS FALLS, NY – The Adirondack Phantoms,
proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers,
announced today that their players will be very
involved in the community as the holiday season
approaches.
The Phantoms will begin their holiday community
appearance schedule almost immediately after the
team returns from their road trip to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton
this weekend. Players Rob Bellamy, Jonathon Kalinski,
Marc-Andre Bourdon and Kevin Marshall, along with
Vice President of Business Operations Mike Thompson
and their mascot Phlex, will be marching in the
Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Company 30th
Annual Holiday Parade on Sunday, November 22nd at
1:00 pm. Parade participants and spectators are
asked to bring a new unwrapped toy to donate for
Toys for Tots and a non-perishable food item for
the Tri-County United Way Live United Program.
On Monday, November 23rd the Phantoms and the American
Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive at the Glens
Falls Civic Center from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Donors
should enter through the main box office doors and
proceed to the Birch Room in Heritage Hall. Everyone
who donates blood will be entered into a raffle
to win Phantoms tickets.
Over the next two weeks, Phantoms players and staff
will be supporting a variety of local charity and
community efforts, such as food drives, coat drives
and toy drives. There will more details regarding
your Phantoms in the community Monday.
The Phantoms will hit the road this weekend as
they travel to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to face off
with the Penguins on Saturday, November 21st at
7:05 pm at Wachovia Arena. Adirondack’s next
home game is on Friday, November 27th as they host
the Hershey Bears for a 7:30 pm face off on Black
Friday at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
