GLENS FALLS, NY – The Adirondack Phantoms,
proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers,
announced today that the Flyers have reassigned
defenseman David Sloane to Adirondack from the Kalamazoo
Wings of the ECHL.
Sloane, 24, has appeared in five games for Kalamazoo
this year and has two assists, four penalty minutes
and a +4 plus-minus rating. The Philadelphia, PA
native made his professional debut with the Flyers
against the New York Rangers on April 9, 2009 at
Madison Square Garden. He made his AHL debut two
days later with the Phantoms on April 11th at Hershey
and he attended the Phantoms 2009 training camp
in late September. Sloane, 6’0, 200 lbs.,
played four years (2005-2009) of Division I men’s
college hockey for Colgate University, where he
played in 129 career NCAA games and had 23 points
(10 goals, 13 assists).
The Phantoms return to the ice on Wednesday, November
4th for a special school-day 11:00 am face off against
the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at the Arena at Harbor
Yard. Adirondack’s next home game is on Friday,
November 13th against the Binghamton Senators at
7:30 pm at the Civic Center.
