GLENS FALLS, NY – The Adirondack Phantoms,
proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers,
announced today that the Flyers have recalled right
wing David Laliberte from loan with Adirondack.
Laliberte, 23, ranks second on the Phantoms with
six points (1 goal, 5 assists) in eight games played
this season; he is tied for the team-lead in assists.
The St. Liboire, Quebec native was drafted by Philadelphia
in the fourth round (124th overall) of the 2004
NHL entry draft, but has not yet played a regular
season game in the NHL. Laliberte (pronounced lah-LEE-buhr-tay)
has played in 105 career AHL games with the Phantoms
over the last three seasons, recording 63 points
(32 goals, 31 assists) and 66 penalty minutes. He
had a breakout season in 2008-09, scoring 28 goals
and posting 48 points in 70 games with the Phantoms;
he played in his 100th career AHL game when Adirondack
traveled to Syracuse on October 10th. The Flyers
will host the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday, October
31st for a 1:00 pm face off at Wachovia Center.
The Phantoms are in Ontario where they will battle
the Toronto Marlies on Friday, October 30th at 7:00
pm at Ricoh Coliseum. Adirondack’s next home
game is scheduled for Sunday, November 1st against
the Syracuse Crunch; a 5:00 pm face off at the Glens
Falls Civic Center. There will be a post-game skate
with the players for all Phantoms Season Ticket
Holders immediately following Sunday’s game;
Season Ticket Holders must bring their own skates
to participate.
