Lehigh Valley, Pa. – The Philadelphia Flyers, parent club of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, have recalled defenseman Travis Sanheim on emergency conditions.

A 21-year-old blueliner from Elkhorn, Manitoba, Sanheim is in the midst of his second professional campaign and has split time this season between the Phantoms (18 games, 1 goal, 15 assists) and Flyers (35 games, 1 goal, 4 assists). He made his NHL debut on October 5, 2017 and netted his first career NHL conversion on December 14, 2017 as part of Philadelphia’s 2-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres.

A first-round selection (#17 overall) by the Flyers in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Sanheim produced 10 goals, 27 assists and 37 total points across 76 games with the Phantoms last year during his first professional season.

Winners of 11 of their last 13 games (11-1-1), the first-place Phantoms are back in action this evening as they welcome the rival Bridgeport Sound Tigers, AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, to PPL Center for a 7:05 p.m. showdown.
