Mike Thompson became Vice President
of Business Operations for the Phantoms June 1,
2009. Over the past season, Mike has led the organization
in developing corporate and community partnerships,
as well as leading the day-to-day operations of
the organization. He has high expectations for the
team and staff members and challenges them on a
daily basis – whether it’s brainstorming
a great ticket sales plan or finding new ways to
involve the organization in the community.
Mike started his professional sports
career in 1995 with the High Desert Mavericks of
the California League. In 1998, Mike joined the
New Haven Ravens of the Eastern League as assistant
general manager, and in 1999 joined the Florida
Marlins as ticket sales manager. From 2000-2004,
Mike traveled the country working as a consultant
to the NCAA and the ECHL, and joined the AHL's Springfield
Falcons in 2005.
Mike can be found walking the building
during the games, visiting the fans and listening
to how we can make the experience better for all
attendees.
