Bob Rotruck, The Voice of the Phantoms, joined the team in August 2010 in the position of Media Relations and Director of Broadcasting. He joins the Phantoms after two seasons as the Voice of the Wheeling (W.V.) Nailers of the ECHL.
Bob brings a wealth of broadcasting experience to the Phantoms having also worked with several minor league baseball teams including the Vero Beach (Fla.) Dodgers and Elmira Pioneers. The 41 year old native of Oxford, Ohio was also the long-time voice of Miami (Ohio) University Hockey beginning when he was a student there in 1992-93. He has called almost 2000 games in the four major sports.
He broadcasts all of the team's home and away games all season long on the official flagship station of the Adirondack Phantoms, Classic Hits, Q101.7. He is also the host of the Monday Night "Phantoms Power Hour" LIVE from McGinny's Tavern in downtown Glens Falls featuring different player guests each week..The show airs from 7-8 p.m. also on Q101.7.
Bob and his wife Teresa reside in Glens Falls and enjoy life in the North Country. |
